Training Specialist or Employment Support Specialist – Disability Services

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and proactive Training Specialist/Employment Specialist to provide individualized support to people with disabilities in maintaining meaningful employment. This role involves direct contact and training—both virtually and in person—to ensure job retention, skill development, and workplace success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing support to individuals with disabilities to help them maintain employment.
  • Conduct regular check-ins (virtual and in-person) with clients to assess job satisfaction, performance, and challenges.
  • Develop and deliver customized training plans to enhance job skills and workplace adaptability.
  • Collaborate with employers to foster inclusive work environments and address accommodation needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, support activities, and employer communications.
  • Facilitate workshops or group sessions on employment readiness, communication, and self-advocacy.
  • Coordinate with Employment Specialists, Direct Support Professionals job coaches, and other providers.
  • Respond promptly to crises or job-related issues that may affect employment stability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Human Services, Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in employment or vocational settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
  • Proficiency with virtual communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for in-person visits.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of ADA and workplace accommodations.
  • Experience with job coaching or supported employment programs.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid role with a mix of remote work and in-person visits to clients and employers.
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required based on client needs.

Director of Accounting:

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Monday through Friday; 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Job Type: Full-time
Salary $42 per hour
We are looking for a skilled Director of Accounting to provide financial, administrative, and clerical services.
Processing and monitoring incoming payments
Generating invoices, bills payable, bank deposits, and account statements
Processing accounting payable and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
Maintaining the billing system records regarding payments and account statuses.
Securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts
Processing, verifying, and posting receipts for services rendered.
Verify and resolve any billing issues.
Generate financial statements and reports that detail the status of accounts payable.
Performing accounts payable reconciliations
Assist with reports
Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Proven working experience as an accounts payable clerk, accounts payable manager, or accountant
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations
Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (QuickBooks Enterprise)
Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
Data entry skills, along with a knack for numbers
Strong knowledge of MS Office applications
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
BS degree in Finance or Accounting
A background check is required
Transportation/Vehicle is required
